The season of giving from the Epic Games Store rolls on as we approach the new year. Today’s free game is Orcs Must Die! 3, the 2020 entry in the popular tower defense franchise.

Orcs Must Die! has been a mainstay of the tower defense genre since its first release in 2011. The third entry in the franchise brought bigger battlefields through its new War Scenarios. It’s also a good time to get a refresher on the games before its next entry, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, released in 2025, features co-operative multiplayer and roguelite mechanics.

Normally available for $29.99, you can pick up the game for free until Monday, December 30th, at 11:00 AM EST.

Orcs Must Die! 3 received critical acclaim upon release and has a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic.

What’s Next For The Epic Game Store Holiday Giveaway?

The EGS version of an Advent Calendar is expected to have new games announced every day through January 2. According to a leak from billbil-kun, 16 games are expected to be made available in total.

Much like the starter title in this year’s edition, Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, the last game will likely stay available for download for a week instead of a day.
