  • Slap Fight- a karate mini-game where you karate chop your opponents and dodge some of their attacks to earn as many Krabby Patties as possible.
  • Red vs Blue is round-based and free-for-all. You only need to be armed with jelly blasters and be the last one standing.

FTC Refunds 72 Million Dollars For Unwanted Fortnite Purchases

After an earlier 500 million dollar settlement with the FTC, Epic Games has paid out the first 72 million to players impacted by in-game purchases.

  • Bikini Bottom Only Up game mode places you in the dingy town from the season episode of the same name, with the ultimate goal of climbing to the summit. Your major challenge will be the tough obstacle designed to throw you off and sabotage your efforts.
  • Bikini Bottom Prop Hunt is a hide-and-seek mode allowing you to disguise yourself as SpongeBob-inspired objects, similar to what you’d do in Black Ops 6 and even Fortnite. This time, you hide and seek across a map themed with everyone’s favorite sea sponge.

“We know so many fans of SpongeBob SquarePants are gamers, so it was a natural next step for us to bring Bikini Bottom to life in this authentic format for them,” said Doug Rosen, Senior Vice President of Games and Emerging Media at Paramount. “This collaboration with Zoned allowed us to create an engaging and immersive experience that truly captures the essence of SpongeBob and resonates with the Fortnite community.”

The SpongeBob crossover is a continuation of radical updates at Fortnite Creative. In recent weeks, players have been treated to brand-new modes, including the Ballistic mode and a new 5v5 FPS. There was also a permanent return of OG mode and new experiences in LEGO Fortnite.

The current additions of the iconic yellow sponge are not in-game, but random appearances on the maps. Nonetheless, we hope it signals big things ahead, like having characters coming to Fortnite and stocks of SpongeBob-inspired cosmetics in the Item Shop.

A more significant crossover is highly likely given that Fortnite developer, Paramount, owns Nickelodeon, just like it does with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which debuted in-game as skins. Other believable characters who’ve appeared in Epic Games’ Fortnite crossover include Godzilla, Peter Griffin, and Big Hero 6’s Baymax.
