A training area where you can practice your weapons has been added to the camp in Monster Hunter Wilds.

With 14 weapons available at launch, there are a staggering 91 different weapon combinations for you to try now that you can change weapons mid-hunt.

There isn’t nearly enough time for you to test out every combination in battle, so use the training area to speed up the process — especially as you can test your weapons in a variety of battle situations as you can adjust the training dummy’s settings.

Here’s how to practice weapons in the training area in Monster Hunter Wilds.

The training area is a new location where you can try and practice every available weapon in various battle situations. In the beta, you must first hunt the Alpha Doshuguma to unlock the training area.

To reach the training area, travel to the base camp and head south towards a wooden entryway with red drapes. Head on inside to find a makeshift camp, Luke the Training Area Meownager, and the High Purrformance Barrel Puncher.

At the makeshift camp, you can access the item, equipment, and Palico menus — allowing you to transfer items and change yours and your Palico’s equipment.

Talk to Luke the Training Area Meownager to adjust the training settings. Check out the list below to see all of the settings you can change in the training area:

Once you’ve adjusted the settings, you’re free to let loose on the High Purrformance Barrel Puncher. To help with your decision making, on the left side of your screen you can see a few suggested combos for your equipped weapon, and how much damage you’ve dealt to the target. Enjoy putting those weapons through their paces!
