Lost Soul Aside Gets Release Window And An Action-Packed Gameplay Trailer

Eight years after Lost Soul Aside was revealed as an indie prototype, Sony and developer Ultizero Games have now given it a release window. They’ve also teased a fluid and visually spectacular gameplay showcasing Kazer’s lightning-infused attacks.




Updates on PlayStation Store and Steam indicate Lost Soul Aside will be released in 2025 for PC and PS5. No exact date was provided, but it marks the culmination of a long period of uncertainty over the game’s development status. Developers have also updated the narrative with a mission to save a sibling and, more importantly, the world.

“Lost Soul Aside features an epic odyssey to save your sister and the whole of humankind from dimensional invaders.”

Developers remain tight-lipped regarding the gameplay but acknowledge it’s a hack-and-slash action-adventure RPG. However, the multiple reveals during the extended wait period offer a glimpse of what you should expect.

With this high-octane clip from Lost Soul Aside, Chinese developer, Ultizero Games, has awakened skateboarders and gothic gamers.

Alongside the launch news was the above action-packed footage of fast, fluid combat and the ability to chain lightning combos. Previously, the narrative depicted a symbiote-like creature entangled around Kazer, influencing his powers and style.


While the latest gameplay also features the dragon companion, it leans more towards fighting invaders that threaten humanity. You also get to witness another alien-looking female NPC.

The one-minute clip starts with a boss fight against a giant wolf and a monster ice creature. Kazer’s actions demonstrate his kitting, word-wielding, and thunderbolt delivery abilities.

In 2016, Chinese developer Yang Bing began developing the game solo before creating the Ultizero Games studio thanks to PlayStation China Hero Project. He had this action Unreal Engine 4 indie IP that heavily borrowed from other iconic games, including Capcom’s Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XV.


The exceptionally polished trailers teased over the years demonstrate stunning, fast-paced combat and a visually striking experience. If you’re a fan of action-adventure games like NieR: Automata and Bayonetta, Lost Soul Aside will feel right at home.

The upcoming title will also feature a training mode to help you master combo-driven combat. Wishlist is now available for PS5 through the PlayStation Store and PC via Steam.
