Mafia: The Old Country is due to be shown at tonight’s The Game Awards, alongside other 2K property Borderlands 4. However, a trailer for Mafia has been leaked online ahead of time, and while it seems to be a shortened teaser trailer, it does include a release window.
X/Twitter user @DJari2020 posted a brief snippet of the trailer. It seems to be a shortened Youtube ad, whereas the trailer we are due to see tonight will presumably be a longer look at the game.

Sadly it doesn’t look like 2K intends on giving us a specific day and date we can expect Mafia: The Old Country to land on, but the trailer did reveal that we expect to visit Sicily sometime in summer 2025.
Apart from that vague release date, the trailer shows some glimpses of knife fights and horseback chases, all set to a beautiful operatic score.
“Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily,” reads the official synopsis. “Fight to survive in this dangerous and unforgiving era, with action brought to life by the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for.”
The Mafia franchise has been dormant for a while now, so I’m pretty hyped to see it finally return,
